Grealish and Trippier react to Harry Kane’s announcement at Bayern Munich

Harry Kane caught the attention of his England teammates on social media with his new announcement at Bayern Munich.

The 31-year-old forward has experienced two incredible campaigns since parting ways with Tottenham two summers ago, notching 82 goals and 23 assists in 91 appearances.

Tottenham and Ange Postecoglou have struggled without him in the Premier League, but with his hands finally on a trophy in the shape of the Bundesliga title, Kane will not regret the move abroad.

Many supporters are expecting a dramatic return for the sensational striker, with Alan Shearer’s Premier League record still to beat in England, but there are no signs of a move just yet.

However, the player has made a new announcement from Bayern Munich after another hugely impressive season with the newly-crowned Bundesliga champions.

Taking to Instagram (21 May), Kane wrote: “A real proud moment to finish off a very memorable season! To be named Bundesliga Player of the Season is a big achievement…

“One that wouldn’t be possible without the great teammates and people around me,” gaining likes from England teammates Jack Grealish and Kieran Trippier, as well as Joe Hart and Jamal Musiala.

Harry Kane tipped for Liverpool transfer after Bayern Munich spell

Football Insider verdict

Ally McCoist has tipped Kane for a move to Liverpool with the idea of breaking Shearer’s record in his mind, and with the Reds looking for a striker this summer, it is not an outrageous suggestion.

In addition to this, ex-Man United scout Mick Brown told Football Insider in March that Liverpool are the frontrunners for Kane’s signature if he is to make a return to the Premier League.

That move is unlikely to go down well with the fans in North London, but given how much Spurs are struggling under Postecoglou, a fairytale return to Spurs may not be on the cards.

Dominic Solanke, signed to replace the Germany-bound striker, has settled into life with the Lilywhites well, but with 15 goals in 43 appearances, not all supporters are sold on him.

It also remains to be seen if Daniel Levy would splash the cash to bring the 31-year-old back to England, but what is clear is that Kane still has a lot to give in the final third and deserves the recognition this season.
