Hamza Igamane transfer edges closer – he is ‘finished’ now at Rangers
Hamza Igamane’s merry-go-round summer transfer window could come to a sudden end after the latest updates at Rangers.
Since arriving at Ibrox on a £1.5million deal just over a year ago, joining as an unknown product from FAR Rabat, the 22-year-old has developed and flourished into a star striker.
In 46 appearances, he notched 16 goals and three assists across all competitions, quickly becoming a much-loved figure, but that also prompted a list of potential suitors to emerge.
Three clubs have joined the race to sign Rangers’ ever-growing talent, Igamane, following the collapse of his move to Lille in Ligue 1, and it may not be long until a deal is sealed by one of them.
Russell Martin to cash in on Hamza Igamane
Russell Martin appears to have taken steps towards the inevitable exit of one of his star players, despite Football Insider understanding that the Gers manager wanted to build around Nico Raskin and Igamane.
The Belgian midfielder remains an incredibly important member of the squad, playing every minute of the Light Blues’ double-header against Panathinaikos in the Champions League.
When it comes to Igamane, however, the same cannot be said, with the 22-year-old still attempting to work his way back to full fitness after training away from the squad during pre-season.

Rangers prepare for worst-case scenario
Despite featuring for 11 minutes in the first leg, the striker’s minutes have been extremely limited, prompting some supporters to suggest that a move may not be far away for the youngster.
With Djeidi Gassama signed, though, joining Oscar Cortes and Findlay Curtis on the left flank, one would assume that centre-forward will be his position once he returns from the sidelines.
However, with Cyriel Dessers appearing to be staying put at Ibrox, and Danilo being chosen as the starting striker by the new manager, Igamane appears to be falling down the pecking order.
While that could all be down to his health shortcomings off the field, the Gers may be preparing themselves for the worst outcome, and with everything now in place, his exit may not be far away.
There is a growing sense the main man is finished now at Rangers.
