Harry Kane sets Tottenham target after Swansea victory

By Dominic Toner

Harry Kane is focused on helping Tottenham climb up the Premier League table.

Spurs responded to their defeat against Chelsea last week by cruising past Swansea 5-0 on Saturday at White Hart Lane.

Mauricio Pochettino’s side were back to their best against Swansea and Kane contributed with two goals, with Christian Eriksen and Heung-Min Son also on the scoresheet.

The result means that Spurs remain fifth in the Premier League table and they are now just three points behind fourth-placed Manchester City.

Kane was pleased with his contribution against Swansea and is now targeting a positive run of results.

“I’m pleased with the two goals today and hopefully we can get a good run together now, get some wins going and really push up the league,” Kane said, as quoted by the club’s official website.

Spurs are currently seven points adrift of league leaders Chelsea and will still believe they can win the title.

The north London club appear to be back on track after just one win in five matches across all competitions during November.

Kane has been in sensational form since his return from a 10-game layout with injury, scoring six goals in his last five appearances.

The 23-year-old now scored eight goals in just 11 appearances this season and is regarded as one of the best striker in the Premier League.
