Harry Kane transfer update emerges at Man United – sources
Manchester United do not have the finances to sign Harry Kane this summer and would need to sell players to increase their budget.
Speaking on the latest edition of Football Insider’s Inside Track podcast, senior correspondent Pete O’Rourke revealed that, while Kane would be the answer to their problems, any hope of Man United signing him is unrealistic.
Kane has established himself as a key player for Bayern Munich, scoring 44 goals in 44 games across all competitions, and the German giants are not willing to let him go.
O’Rourke went on to explain that United are working on a tight budget which will be hit hard by missing out on European football.
This comes following Football Insider’s report that current Bayern boss Thomas Tuchel is one of the top contenders to replace Erik ten Hag at Old Trafford.
Harry Kane transfer update emerges amid Man United interest
While Kane would prove to be a stunning signing at Old Trafford, O’Rourke explained that the club missed the boat when he was available last summer.
However, the news that United will be operating on a shoestring budget this summer will come as a blow given the disappointing season they have suffered.
Several players in the first-team squad need improving, while injuries to stars like Luke Shaw have exposed a lack of quality depth.
In terms of outgoing players to raise funds, Football Insider revealed that Man United would accept a cut-price offer for Harry Maguire, while four big names could secure early exits.

Ten Hag’s side currently sit eighth in the Premier League, having lost 13 games, with a -3 goal difference which has led to the decision to sack the boss at the end of the season, as reported by Football Insider.
New signings are needed to better United’s position, but with the transfer budget tight, sales will be needed first.
