Harry Maguire sends message to Rasmus Hojlund as Man United exit beckons
Harry Maguire shared a message aimed at exit-linked Rasmus Hojlund as uncertainty continues to surround the striker’s Manchester United future.
Hojlund has struggled to make an impact since arriving from Atalanta in a £72million deal two years ago, with expectations high following his big-money move.
The Danish forward managed just four goals last season as United’s issues in front of goal persisted. As a result, the club are in the market for attacking reinforcements this summer.
Despite his underwhelming form, there is interest from Italy, with both Napoli and Inter Milan considering a move for Hojlund.
Man United are understood to be open to offers for Hojlund, although it’s expected they would have to take a significant loss on their initial investment.
Now, Maguire has publicly praised the 22-year-old, sharing a message directed at the striker in a recent video on social media despite the ongoing speculation.

Harry Maguire praises Rasmus Hojlund in training clip as Man United exit looms
Maguire posted footage of the Danish striker training ahead of the squad’s return for pre-season, with Hojlund seen taking part in sharp drills.
The defender shared the clip with the caption: “Looking sharp” as speculation continues to swirl around Hojlund’s future at Old Trafford.

Maguire, meanwhile, was one of the few positives in what proved to be a difficult campaign for United. After being frozen out earlier in the season by Erik ten Hag, the centre-back enjoyed a resurgence under Ruben Amorim.
Football Insider revealed Man United are preparing to open contract talks with Maguire, with just 12 months remaining on his current deal.
However, the same cannot be said for Hojlund, with United prepared to sanction the 22-year-old’s exit should the right offer come in.
Napoli could provide Hojlund with a similar escape route from Man United to the one Scott McTominay took, with the midfielder flourishing in Serie A following his own move to Italy. Time will tell if the Italian champions follow up their interest with a formal bid.
Man United plot Ollie Watkins transfer as striker plans take shape

The Red Devils are in the market for attacking reinforcements, with Football Insider revealing that Man United have shown interest in Aston Villa striker Ollie Watkins.
However, any potential deal for Watkins may hinge on whether United can offload Hojlund first, with the club reluctant to overspend without recouping funds.
Arsenal are also admirers of Watkins as they weigh up striking options this summer, with Benjamin Sesko and Viktor Gyokeres among their top targets. Watkins remains on their radar as a possible third option.
United could look to swoop in any deal should the situation around Hojlund’s exit develop, paving the way for Watkins to make the move to Old Trafford.
