Harry Redknapp destroys Aston Villa after they are beaten at Blackburn
Birmingham City boss Harry Redknapp has had another pop at Aston Villa by stating he “expected” them to lose against Blackburn Rovers on Saturday afternoon.
Steve Bruce’s side suffered a 1-0 defeat at the relegation-threatened side, who are two points behind Redknapp’s team in the table.
Redknapp couldn’t help but continually slate Villa as he believes they didn’t have much in them during their fixture last Sunday.
Gabby Agbonlahor came off the bench to score the winning goal in the second city derby, with the game itself heading for a goalless draw before Agbonlahor’s substitution changed the game.
After Villa’s defeat to Rovers, Redknapp once again destroyed the club as he couldn’t help himself making these comments.

“I expected it,” said Redknapp, as quoted by the Birmingham Mail. “I thought Villa were poor last week. We should never have got beat at Villa, I didn’t see much in them really.
“You look at their record this year, look at where they are, look where they should be, look at the money they have spent, look at the size [of the club].
“They underachieved massively before Stevie came and he has taken over a team that needs a load of work. Obviously.”
Redknapp’s side are not safe yet despite their 2-0 win against a much-changed Huddersfield team on Saturday.
David Wagner made ten changes to a team that has already secured a play-off place, with the Terriers losing to ten man Blues.
In the table, Birmingham, who sacked Gary Rowett in December, are 11 points behind their bitter rivals.
The Blues travel to Bristol City on the last day of the season, needing three points to ensure they secure their safety in the second tier.
Defeat added with other results going against them could result in them heading into League One for next season.
