John Hartson hails Celtic player after win against Rangers
John Hartson has hailed display of Celtic striker Odsonne Edouard, who destroyed Rangers with two goals in the Hoops 5-0 victory over their Glasgow rivals.
The Frenchman, who started in place of the injured Moussa Dembele, was deservedly named man of the match in the match which saw the Hoops clinch their seventh league title in a row.
Hartson, as quoted on his personal Twitter account, was impressed with the 20-year-old, but wasn’t entirely serious with his comments.
“He’s quite good that Edouard!” Hartson said.

Edouard joined the Hoops on loan from PSG in the summer, and has burst into life in recent weeks, with three goals against Rangers which helped the Hoops clinch the league title.

Hartson of course isn’t being serious with his comments, but Edouard underlined how good a player he can be with his performance against the Gers. His performances in the last month against the Gers will have Hoops fans demanding that Brendan Rodgers and the board at Celtic Park make his loan deal a permanent one at the end of the season. Only time will tell if that happens, but the player does look a like a natural replacement for Dembele, should the French leave the Hoops at the end of the season. It will be an interesting summer for the 20-year-old, who has a big future ahead of him.
