Hazard mocks Arsenal after they lose and Tottenham win

By Amir Mir

Micky Hazard mocked Arsenal as they were beaten 2-1 at Manchester City, while Tottenham defeated Burnley by the same scoreline on Sunday afternoon.

Arsene Wenger’s side had taken the lead in the match when Alexis Sanchez’ cute reverse pass found Theo Walcott who opened the scoring.

But two second-half goals from Leroy Sane and Raheem Sterling saw the north London club suffer their second defeat within a week following their loss at Everton on Tuesday.

As the Gunners were being beaten by City, their rivals Spurs saw off a tough Sean Dyche side to secure all three points and move within one point of Wenger’s team in the table.

After both games had concluded, former Tottenham player Hazard had this to say on his personal Twitter account.

Wenger’s side are fourth in the table on 34 points from their 17 games, winning ten, drawing four and losing three of those encounters.

They host Tony Pulis’ West Brom on Boxing Day, before a London derby against Crystal Palace to start off the new year.

By contrast Mauricio Pochettino’s side are in fifth place following their win and have recorded 33 points from 17 games.

Spurs have two tough away fixtures during the festive period. First of all they travel to St. Mary’s to take on Southampton on Boxing Day, and then they kick off the new year against Watford.

In other Arsenal news, supporters on Twitter urged Sanchez to leave the Gunners following the Manchester City defeat.
