Hazard mocks Arsenal after West Brom defeat, Tottenham fans will love his reaction

By Amir Mir

Former Tottenham defender Micky Hazard mocked Arsenal on Twitter after they were beaten 3-1 at West Brom on Saturday afternoon.

Arsene Wenger’s side produced a gutless and timid display in defence as they crumbled to their third consecutive away defeat.

The Gunners named a strong line-up against the eighth-placed side, but Arsenal’s defence simply couldn’t cope with the Baggies attacking play.

There were a number of occasions that their defensive backline failed to deal with the crosses being put in by the home team.

As a result, they conceded three goals, two of them headers, with Hazard laughing at the north London club on his personal Twitter account.

Spurs fans would love his reaction because it is exactly how they felt as the goals were going in at the Hawthorns.

The result does have an impact in the race to secure a Champions League place with Spurs, Arsenal, Manchester City, Liverpool and possibly Manchester United all contesting for three spots.

Current league leaders Chelsea are ten points ahead of their rivals and are on course to secure another Premier League crown.

Therefore, the other teams are ensuring they can secure a top-four spot with second-placed Spurs currently seven points ahead of sixth-placed Manchester United who have a game in hand.

For Wenger, his team remain in fifth, but they can be overtaken by United on Sunday afternoon if they are able to beat Middlesbrough at the Riverside Stadium.

The north east club sacked their manager Aitor Karanka earlier on in the week after dropping into the bottom three.

Nonetheless, Spurs will be looking to open up their gap in second when they take on Southampton at White Hart Lane on Sunday.

In other Tottenham news, Paul Merson has questioned this Spurs ace and claimed he cannot do this over five games.
