He must start: Arsenal fans demand Wenger gives fringe player main role
By Dominic Toner
Arsenal attacker Lucas Perez made a great impact off the bench against Bournemouth – and the club’s supporters agree on Twitter that he should be handed a starting role by manager Arsene Wenger.
The 28-year-old helped his side fight back from 3-0 down against Bournemouth in the Premier League.
Alexis Sanchez got the first goal to give the Gunners a slim hope and then Perez struck a fantastic volley inside the penalty area to set up a dramatic finish.
Olivier Giroud headed in a 92nd minute goal to earn an unlikely away point after a poor performance for the most part, but Perez’ impact off the bench was a huge positive.
Arsenal fans are demanding Perez is named in the starting XI for their next game and the north London club face Preston in the FA Cup third-round, before travelling to Swansea for a league match.

Perez has fought his way into the team. I'd be shocked if he starts on the bench next game.

No clue why Giroud was celebrating that goal and why Perez doesn't start. #AFC

Lucas Perez should play more, his direct style can be very penetrative, however we look at it its 2 points dropped, we march on #Arsenal

Perez has been on the fringes of the Arsenal squad since his move from Spanish club Deportivo in the summer.
The attacker made a great impact off the bench against Bournemouth and was also impressive when he started again Crystal Palace on Sunday.
He will now be hoping for a run in the first-team and he is yet to complete 90 minutes in his seven Premier League appearance so far.
Perez has managed six goals in 12 games across all competitions and is certainly pushing on the door for a permanent starting role.
