‘He won’t accept that’ – Eddie Howe will be fuming at ‘worrying’ Newcastle moment vs Brentford
Newcastle United’s poor run of form continued over the weekend and one moment in particular would have left Eddie Howe unimpressed.
On Sunday (9 November), Newcastle were beaten 3-1 by Brentford at the Gtech Community Stadium, dropping the Magpies down to 14th in the Premier League.
Harvey Barnes gave Howe’s side an early lead, but Kevin Schade levelled the scores just 10 minutes into the second half.
Dan Burn was then given a second yellow card for a challenge on Dango Ouattara in the box, with Igor Thiago dispatching the spot-kick, before adding a third in stoppage time.

Newcastle’s poor away form continues
Newcastle have now lost their last three Premier League away games and are still yet to win on their travels so far this season.
The Magpies were dominated by Brentford in the second half, with Keith Andrews’ side fully deserving of all three points in West London.
Speaking on BBC Match of the Day, former Liverpool midfielder Danny Murphy believes that Howe will be fuming at the manner in which his Newcastle players fell away after the half-time break.
“In the second half they looked leggy, they capitulated a bit. When you are away from home, the players have to stand up and be counted more. He won’t accept that, Eddie. That second-half performance was a tad worrying.
“They have a lack of creativity. They don’t have an abundance of options at the top of the pitch. Gordon’s out and Wissa hasn’t been able to play yet. They’ve got to be a bit braver.”
Newcastle make Joelinton exit decision
Meanwhile, Newcastle have no plans to let Joelinton leave despite the midfielder’s poor recent form, sources have told Football Insider.

The 29-year-old has been criticised recently, leading to suggestions that the Magpies could look to upgrade in his position in the transfer window.
Joelinton has also been suffering with fitness issues this season, and was forced off in the 24th minute of Newcastle’s defeat to Brentford.
However, Howe’s side are standing by the Brazilian during his difficult run, and will not look to offload him in January.
