'In a heartbeat' - Newcastle fans react to speculation about bonkers deal

By Harry Sykes

Newcastle are reportedly interested in a sensational deal to re-sign Moussa Sissoko – and fans have taken to Twitter to express mixed verdicts.

Italian football news outlet Calcio Mercato claim that the Magpies are “on the trail” of the 27-year-old attacking midfielder less than a year after he quit for Tottenham in a £30million transfer.

It is said Newcastle are keen to bring him back to St James’ Park in a move that would rank as one of the most remarkable of recent times for any club.

Newcastle are likely to be in the market for some top signings this summer after their return to the Premier League was confirmed on Monday night.
