Rangers fans react on Twitter to Weir joining Warburton at Nottingham Forest
By Harvey Byrne
David Weir has been appointed alongside Mark Warburton at Nottingham Forest – and Rangers fans on Twitter have aired their disgust at the man they once thought highly of
The 46-year-old, who departed with Warburton in February has rejoined him at the famous Midlands club with Frank McParland also already at the club.
All three lost their roles at Ibrox with reports emerging that Warburton held an interest in the vacant Forest position before they decided to hand Gary Brazil the job until the end of the season.
However, form has seemingly got worse for the club under the guidance of Brazil and owner Fawaz Al-Hasawi has decided to appoint Warburton on a two-and-a-half-year deal.
Now, Rangers fans have already aired their thoughts to both McParland’s and their former manager’s appointments at the club.

Here are a selection of their messages on Twitter:
David Weir was my idle growing up and the way he's snaked the club on Warburtons leash is heartbreaking

Weir spent five years at Rangers during his playing days between 2007 and 2012.
He amassed 230 appearances for the club, lifting three Premierships, two Scottish Cups and three Scottish League Cups during his time.
He then returned as assistant to Warburton in 2015 before losing the position in February 2017.
