‘He’ll end up at Nottingham Forest’ – Man City to accept James McAtee offer
Manchester City will accept a £30million offer for James McAtee that will likely see him “end up at Nottingham Forest” this summer.
The recent arrivals of Tijjani Reijnders and Rayan Cherki have pushed the 22-year-old down the pecking order at the Etihad Stadium.
Football Insider revealed on 2 July McAtee wants to leave Man City for the good of his development, with first-team football his priority.
Nottingham Forest are believed to have seen a £25million bid rejected for the Man City academy product.
Football Insider revealed on 3 August Forest have been told a £35million offer will be accepted for McAtee.
The midfielder, who has 12 months left to run on his contract, has already tasted success this summer after captaining England’s Under-21 side to the European Championships trophy.
McAtee started in just nine games for Pep Guardiola’s side last season, where he registered seven goals in 27 appearances.

Man City certain to sell James McAtee
This article contains exclusive comment from Stefan Borson, a former financial adviser to Man City.
Borson believes the 10-time English champions would probably accept a £30million bid for McAtee this summer.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, Borson said: “I think there will be quite a lot of movement with City between now and the end of the window.
“You have got players like McAtee, who will definitely leave. The only question is what fee and to where.
“I would think he will probably end up at Forest. I think they bid £25million.
“You could see that deal happening for £30million or maybe even £25million plus add-ons.
“I think City will do that deal.”

Tottenham set sights on signing Man City star
In terms of another potential exit at the Etihad, former Spurs scout Mick Brown told Football Insider Tottenham have set their sights on signing Jack Grealish.
Having now been cast out of Guardiola’s squad, there is no shortage of interest in the England international, but the finances involved are a potential stumbling block.
Grealish is believed to be on in excess of £300,000 a week at the Etihad, with his deal set to run until 2027.
