Huge mistake: PL ace is proving that he is miles better than Tottenham 22-year-old

There is no doubt that Tottenham made a huge mistake when they let Jermain Defoe leave the club in 2014 for MLS Side Toronto.
Academy product Harry Kane has since replaced the Sunderland striker and proven on a number of occasions that he is capable of filling his big boots.
However, Spurs could do with another option up front, with 22-year-old Vincent Janssen failing to inspire supporters since his move last summer.
There is no doubt that Defoe is miles better than Janssen and Mauricio Pochettino would be clever to bring back the Black Cats player to north London in the summer.
When Defoe found the back of the net for England against Lithuania on Sunday afternoon at Wembley, the reaction from the Spurs faithful was clear evidence of what they think of him.

His calmness, ability to find space and finish at any angle, still has not been lost and that would be of great help to Pochettino’s side.
This has been proven by his 14 Premier League goals for Sunderland who are currently sitting bottom of the table.
Furthermore, he brilliantly led an England side to three points during their World Cup qualifier on Sunday afternoon, scoring and showing calmness throughout the match.
Back on the international stage, still scoring at club level, Pochettino bringing back Defoe would be a masterstroke by the Argentine.
