Graeme Murty: These are the types of players Rangers want
Rangers boss Graeme Murty has revealed that he wants the players he has at Ibrox to be desperate and hungry for success as the club move into the last three months of the season.
The Light Blues are currently locked in a battle with Aberdeen for second place in the Scottish Premiership, and in the quarter-final of the Scottish Cup, and Murty wants the players to show the desire needed to push on in the upcoming fixtures.
“We want hungry players who are desperate to drive us forward from the position we are in now” the Englishman said, as quote by the official club Twitter account.
One player who fits into that category is James Tavernier, who recently signed a new three-and-a-half year deal with the Ibrox club.
The Gers currently trail Aberdeen by three points in the battle for second place in the Scottish Premiership, with the Light Blues next in action on Sunday when they make the trip to face Hamilton, with the Dons playing Hibernian on the Saturday.
Murty’s side will be looking for revenge against the side who pulled off a shock 2-0 victory at Ibrox in the last meeting between the clubs in November.
The Gers won 4-1 in the first match between the teams at New Douglas Park back in September, with Declan John proving to be the match-winner with two goals.
