Hutton drops 'nightmare' Grealish verdict after Aston Villa training ground reveal
Jack Grealish will be hounding the Aston Villa medical staff to let him play after suffering another injury setback, according to Alan Hutton.
The former Villa star, speaking exclusively to Football Insider, admitted the latest update was an “absolute nightmare” for his old teammate.
Speaking at his press conference, Dean Smith confirmed the 25-year-old would be missing for another couple of weeks after suffering a “setback” in training.
The attacking midfielder has now missed Villa’s last eight games and could miss another two over the next fortnight.
Smith’s men have won just twice without their attacking talisman and have netted only seven goals, three of which came against Fulham.
Hutton, who saw Grealish come through the youth ranks at Villa, admitted it was a crushing blow for the midfielder.

He suggested the medical staff at Villa’s Bodymoor Heath training ground would be getting a daily visit from Grealish.
Hutton told Football Insider assistant editor Russell Edge: “It’s an absolute nightmare.
“I know him well, he’ll be itching to get out and try it. He’ll be going into the treatment room every day, at the medical staff every day: ‘It feels better, let me run.’
“I can picture him doing it now but sometimes you just have to pull him back.
“We understand he’s desperate to get back but just go with it the medical people and get it right.”
Grealish has scored six goals and contributed 12 assists in 22 Premier League games this season.
He suffered a similar problem in the 2018/19 campaign that kept him out for 13 games.
