Hutton impressed as Vassilev seals 'great move' from Aston Villa
Indiana Vassilev has made a “great move” by joining Inter Miami on loan from Aston Villa, according to Alan Hutton.
The former Villa defender, speaking exclusively to Football Insider, claimed a return to the States could be “brilliant” for the USA youth international.
As confirmed by Villa on July 7th, Vassilev has joined Inter Miami temporarily until the end of 2021.
The 20-year-old spent last season on loan at Cheltenham Town and Burton Albion.
Inter Miami, owned by David Beckham, are coached by former England Women’s boss Phil Neville.
They have a strong contingent of British players with the likes of Kieran Gibbs, Ryan Shawcross and Lewis Morgan on the books.

Hutton insisted he had been impressed in Vassilev’s six senior appearances for Villa so far.
He suggested the loan spell could work wonders for the youngster.
Hutton told Football Insider’s Russell Edge: “What a great move that is. That’s brilliant, isn’t it?
“That’s great, going back home. We’ve seen him in spells. They called on him when there was real trouble up top. He did really well.
“He kind of reminded me of Andi Weimann a wee bit. High energy, high pace, ratting around and giving nobody time. He did really well when given the opportunity.
“Like a number of players, you have to go out and play football. It is good for him to go to Inter Miami, see familiar faces. People that you’ll know and how they play.
“They have got the same mentality as you. They’ve come from England, they know what it’s all about. This is the next stage for him to grow as a player.
“Then he will come back and show Dean Smith he is ready. Either that, or they’ll sell him on for a substantial fee.”
