Alan Hutton has tipped Rangers to receive a “big offer” for Ryan Kent this summer despite Leeds United pulling out of the race.
The former Ibrox ace, speaking exclusively to Football Insider, insisted the 24-year-old’s “outstanding” displays will have caught the eye of suitors this season.
As revealed by Football Insider, Kent is set to snub any interest from Leeds to remain at Ibrox for at least another season.
The Premier League outfit had an £11million bid knocked back last summer and the Scottish Sun reported they were preparing a £15million bid for the end of the season.
Hutton insisted it would take more than that to tempt Rangers into selling.
He also suggested there would be other clubs keen after Leeds’ interest.
Asked if he thought the Gers would consider a £15million bid, Hutton told Football Insider’s Russell Edge: “I don’t think so. I don’t think £15million would be enough.
“He was outstanding the other day (v Celtic). He really started it off with the pressure he put people under on the ball. His turns were so sharp, he was in the mood.
Me, as a full-back, I was thinking I wouldn’t like to mark him on that day. That’s how good he was.
“If a team comes in with an offer of between £10-15million, I’m not sure Rangers would want to accept that. They’re going to be working higher.
“If he can keep those standards high and play to that level, week in, week out, somebody is going to come calling with a big offer, that I’m sure of.”
