Hutton makes 'scary' Goldson prediction after big update on Rangers talks
Alan Hutton has tipped Connor Goldson to hit new heights at Rangers during the upcoming campaign.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the former Ibrox star admitted it is “scary” the 28-year-old could take his game to another level after a “magnificent” 2020/21 season.
As reported by the Daily Record (July 24th), Goldson has agreed terms of a new three-year contract at Ibrox.
The club captain’s current terms are set to expire next summer.
Hutton admitted Goldson “cruised through games” and never looked like he was “out of second or third gear” last season.
As such, he suggested the centre-back could lift his game again.

“He just seems to be growing game after game,” Hutton told Football Insider’s Russell Edge.
“It’s quite scary to sit here and say this because he was magnificent last season, but he’s just taking everything in his stride.
“There’s a lot of pressure on Rangers this year, they’re the champions. Celtic aren’t looking the best at this moment in time so the pressure will be on Rangers.
“Everybody will be trying to shoot them down and Goldson just seems to be taking everything in his stride.
“No hassle, he cruises through games for me, it doesn’t look like he’s out of second or third gear.
“He’s so calm with the ball at his feet, just everything in general.
“Organising the back four, organising the midfield in front, he’s an ever-present, very rarely injured.”
Goldson will be looking to lead Rangers to a second consecutive Premiership title this coming campaign.
The Light Blues finished 25 points clear of Celtic at the top of the table last term.
