'I love that' - Exclusive: Darren Bent wowed as Leeds-Bielsa video goes viral

Darren Bent has been left raving after a video of Leeds United manager Marcelo Bielsa went viral following the club’s promotion to the Premier League.

The former Aston Villa and England striker, speaking exclusively to Football Insider assistant editor Russell Edge, admits he is delighted to see the Whites back in the top-flight and that he loved the celebrations from fans on social media.

A video posted by BBC Leeds broadcaster Adam Pope showed Bielsa celebrating with supporters and posing for pictures at his home in Wetherby.

Bent admits he is delighted to see the Whites back among England’s elite and insists the supporters deserve to celebrate – including with their manager.

Bent told Football Insider: “Finally, finally! It’s massive, Leeds history-wise, we talk about the Champions League semi-finals, some of the teams that they’ve had, it’s been tough for them for years and years and years.

“I think last season they potentially didn’t handle the pressure and that’s why they didn’t go up but they’re finally back. The videos that have been going around, Bielsa with some of his neighbours, I love that – the fans outside the stadium, listen, they deserve it.”

West Brom’s 2-1 defeat to Huddersfield on Friday night ensured that Leeds would finish in the top two of the Championship with two games left to play.

The Whites now need just one point from their games against Derby and Charlton to win the Championship title.

In other Leeds United news, Football Insider can reveal a stunning plan to re-sign Ben White from Brighton this summer.
