Chelsea fans destroy 28-year-old for display v Man United and call for Fabregas to start
By Matt Bullin
Chelsea fans have taken to Twitter to call for Cesc Fabregas to start their next game in place of Nemanja Matic after the Blues’ 2-0 defeat to Manchester United this afternoon.
Antonio Conte’s men slipped to a disappointing loss as Marcus Rashford and Ander Herrera scored either side of the break to secure a huge win for United.
Fabregas once again started the match on the bench and was introduced 10 minutes into the second period, replacing Victor Moses.
Matic was taken off 10 minutes after that, while Fabregas grew into the game and was one of the Blues’ top performers.
The 29-year-old Spaniard has made 23 appearances in the Premier League this term, but he has only started on nine occasions.

Now, Chelsea fans have called for the 110-time Spain international to start their next game on Twitter – and destroyed 28-year-old Matic.
Here is a selection of their Tweets:
Not a fan of Fabregas in the starting XI but right now I'd have a traffic cone ahead of Matic in our midfield.

Conte should've played Cesc Fábregas early.

The result leaves Chelsea four points clear of Tottenham at the top of the league – though they have now lost two of their last four games.
Meanwhile Spurs have won seven in a row and are building momentum for an unlikely, late title charge.
Next up for Chelsea is a crucial FA Cup semi-final with Tottenham.
