Paul Robinson is shocked Danny Rose is still at Tottenham and called for his future to be resolved urgently.
The former White Hart Lane number one, speaking exclusively to Football Insider correspondent Dylan Childs, admitted that he was “surprised” that the 30-year-old did not leave the London club in the summer.
As revealed by Football Insider the left-back wants the full value of his Spurs contract paid off if he is to agree to terminate his deal.
Jose Mourinho left the 29-time England international out of his Premier League squad for the 2020/21 campaign to suggest that he has no future at the club.
Rose, who spent the second half of last season on loan at Newcastle United, has not played for the Lilywhites since 11 January.
When asked by Football Insider for his assessment of the defender’s future, Robinson said: “I am surprised that he has not moved yet.

“I thought it was a deal would be done in the summer because he is clearly keen to play. We saw that last year when he went to Newcastle.
“He is clearly not in Jose’s plans this season so the sooner the situation is resolved the better for both club and player.
“Not knowing Danny Rose personally, but from a distance I have always liked the way he has conducted himself. I love that he speaks so openly and honestly.
“I cannot see him just wanting to sit there and not play. He is a fantastic player but with Reguilon and Davies there is no need for him.”
