Ian Taylor reveals which Aston Villa player impressed him during damaging Cardiff loss
By Amir Mir
Ian Taylor has stated that Aaron Tshibola produced a good display when he came on for Aston Villa during their 1-0 loss at Cardiff on Monday afternoon.
Midfielder Tshibola, who was only making his second appearance for manager Steve Bruce, came on at the break replacing the poor Ashley Westwood in the side.
After a lacklustre first half display from the away team, Villa picked up their performance with half-time substitute Gabby Agbonlahor, in particular, impressing.
Despite the turnaround after the interval, Bruce’s men could not change their fortunes as they suffered a damaging defeat in their race for promotion.
After the game, club legend Taylor delivered this verdict as posted on his personal Twitter account.
Thought @AaronTshibola was good when he came on…. #AVFC

Tshibola has now featured on seven occasions for Villa in the Championship, scoring one goal during the fixture against Newcastle in September.
He last appeared for manager Bruce during his first game in charge when the promotion expert recorded a 1-1 draw against rivals Wolves on home soil.
Bruce’s predecessor, Roberto Di Matteo purchased Tshibola during the summer for a fee of £5 million from Reading, but he has seen first-team football hard to come by.
Tshibola will be hoping he can be named in the starting XI when the Midlands club take on Premier League title chasers Tottenham in an FA Cup fixture on Sunday afternoon.
