Ian Wright gives honest verdict on Kane injury, Tottenham fans will be aggrieved

Ian Wright believes Harry Kane’s ankle injury could jeopardise their top-four finish in the Premier League despite currently sitting in second place.
Kane, 23, suffered the problem to his ankle after a strong tackle from Millwall defender Jake Cooper on Sunday, as Spurs eased into the last four of the FA Cup with a huge 6-0 win.
A scan on the England international’s ankle is set to be completed on Tuesday according to Sky Sports, as it remains unclear how long Spurs’ number 10 will be sidelined for.
Former Arsenal striker Wright claimed in his Sun column that Kane’s absence from the side could see Spurs lose their position in the Champions League places.
“I can’t stress enough how different Spurs are when Kane is not leading their attack,” Wright said. “The obvious starting point is where the goals are going to come from.

“I reckon Tottenham have got a battle on their hands to just guarantee a top-four finish. That’s how massive the loss of Harry Kane will be to them. That’s how much I believe they will struggle to cope without him.”
Kane’s form has been remarkable this season, scoring 24 goals in 29 games but he has little back-up with Vincent Janssen being the obvious choice to replace him.
The Holland international has scored just five goals during his 30 league and cup appearance for the north London giants, with only one goal coming from open play.
Manager Mauricio Pochettino is anxious to find out the results of the injury, with concerns that the injury could be a similar problem to the injury that kept Kane out for almost two months earlier this season.
Spurs have been drawn away to London rivals Chelsea at Stamford Bridge in the last four of the competition, while Arsenal play host to Manchester City.
