Rangers are convinced in-demand Glen Kamara will be worth an extra £10million next year, Football Insider has been told.
Brighton have been linked by TeamTalk with a swoop for the 23-year-old only five months since he signed for the Glasgow giants from Dundee for £50,000.
Manager Steven Gerrard has subsequently hailed the transfer as an “absolute steal” and there are high hopes among the club’s coaching staff that he can make a big impact next season.
A Rangers source has told Football Insider the club have no intention of selling Kamara this summer and are convinced his value will skyrocket beyond the £10million mark this time next year.
Kamara has made just 16 appearances for the Ibrox giants since his arrival, 12 in the Scottish Premiership and three in the Scottish Cup.
Gerrard and his staff are big admirers of the mobility and energy of the Finland international, and Football Insider pundit Jackie McNamara has named him as one of three players who the manager should build his side around next season, along with James Tavernier and Scott Arfield.
Kamara failed to make the grade at Arsenal after joining at youth team level, but he ignited his career when heading north of the border to join Dundee in 2017 on a free transfer.
He made 64 appearances for the club before his switch to Rangers in the most recently completed window.
In other Rangers news, it can be REVEALED that the club have set their sights on a Manchester United senior player after a major development.
