Igor Tudor will surely opt to give Souza his full Premier League debut for Tottenham Hotspur against Liverpool after the recent injury news.

Spurs travel to Anfield on Sunday, aiming to put an end to their terrible losing run.

However, their task continues to get harder, with several players out of the tie, including many defenders.

While this is terrible for Tudor and many of the travelling fans, it could present a massive opportunity to Souza, who is looking to emerge as a starter ahead of the huge Liverpool showdown.

So far, Souza has only played three times for Tottenham since his move to the club.

Each of these have come from the bench, with the left-back yet to showcase his true abilities.

However, after Tudor confirmed players such as Cristian Romero and Micky van de Ven were out of the time due to injury and suspension, Souza has to start.

By playing the 19-year-old at left-back and Djed Spence at right-back, it would give the manager the chance to play Pedro Porro further forward.

If Spurs are to have any chance of getting a result, they must provide a threat up top, and this tactic would ensure this.

A defeat would almost certainly see Tudor sacked. Therefore, by playing Souza at left-back and hence Porro further forward, it could save his job.

On top of this, it could prove to be a massive chance for Souza to prove that he is capable of starting regularly if he can keep Liverpool at bay.

Recent weeks have proven that Tottenham’s backline is dire, and all it may take is a good performance from the youngster to convince Tudor that he should be starting permanently.

Football Insider recently revealed that Tottenham’s sacking of Tudor was accelerating after four defeats from four matches.

If the match against Liverpool goes badly, Spurs may sack their interim boss as the relegation zone edges closer.

While it remains to be seen if solely a defeat would see him booted out of the club, things do not look good either way.

As a result, the trip to Anfield could be do or die for Tudor, with his reputation in England on the line.
