Igor Tudor is to do something no Premier League manager has ever done amid Tottenham decision
Tottenham Hotspur would make Igor Tudor’s tenure the shortest in Premier League history if he is sacked on Sunday.
The interim manager was appointed 28 days ago, and the Lilywhites are now strongly considering alternative options as they battle the threat of relegation.
Tudor replaced Thomas Frank, who had failed to produce a Premier League win since the end of December.
But the situation has grown even worse under his replacement, with the North London club now just one point outside of the relegation zone.
Tottenham’s next manager could be brought in before the season ends, with decision-makers desperate to find a way to avert the impending disaster.

Football Insider exclusively revealed on Friday that Tottenham are accelerating plans to sack Tudor after Wednesday’s embarrassing 5-2 defeat to Atletico Madrid.
David Ornstein has since reported that decision-makers at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium are actively working on potential replacements for the Croatian if they are to sack him.
Tottenham could find themselves in the relegation zone before they kick off at Anfield on Sunday, with West Ham to play Manchester City on Saturday, and Nottingham Forest in action against Fulham on Sunday.

Should Tudor be sacked in the hours after the game, he would become the first manager in Premier League history to be sacked in 29 days or less.
The shortest reign currently belongs to Sam Allardyce, who was appointed by Leeds United for the final four games of the 2022-23 season.
The veteran manager had been brought in to avoid relegation, but he was dismissed when he produced just one point from four games.
The second shortest came just this season, when former Tottenham boss Ange Postecoglou was appointed by Nottingham Forest and sacked just 39 days later after failing to win a game in eight across all competitions.
Tudor would match another Premier League record
There are very few managers in Premier League history to have ever failed to win a single game in their time in charge of one club.
There are even fewer who have not even managed to grind out a single point in that time.
Frank de Boer – the “worst Premier League manager of all time”, according to Jose Mourinho – did it with Crystal Palace, losing his four Premier League games in charge against Huddersfield Town, Liverpool, Swansea City and Burnley before he was sacked.
But he, at least, guided his team to one win in the Carabao Cup against Ipswich Town – if Tudor loses to Liverpool and is sacked on Sunday, he will not even have done that.
When he arrived in London, Tudor would have hoped to leave a mark. What he would not have imagined is that, when all is said and done, his tenure may go as the very worst in Premier League history.
