‘I’m hearing more’ – Keith Wyness drops Sean Dyche to Burnley verdict
Burnley have to make a decision on whether they want Scott Parker or Sean Dyche to be the club’s manager next season.
That is according to ex-Everton, Aston Villa, and Aberdeen chief executive Keith Wyness, speaking exclusively to Football Insider, who believes it will be either Parker or Dyche in charge at Turf Moor next season.
Dyche has been linked with a return to Burnley amid increasing pressure on Parker, and following his sacking at Nottingham Forest.
Burnley look certain to be relegated from the Premier League, with a nine-point gap between them and safety, whilst the Clarets suffered a shock defeat to Mansfield in the FA Cup last time out.

Keith Wyness ‘not convinced’ Burnley need managerial change
Everton’s former chief Keith Wyness – who served as CEO at Goodison Park between 2004 and 2009 and now runs a football consultancy advising elite clubs – believes Burnley could benefit financially from relegation to the Championship.
Speaking on the new edition of Football Insider‘s Inside Track podcast, Wyness doesn’t think the club need to sack Parker.
He told Football Insider‘s Inside Track podcast: “Many financial analysts have always said West Brom used to do it a while ago, being the yo-yo club, and it was a very successful financial model to go up and down between the leagues and get the parachute money and then cut the wage bills etc.
“For Burnley, I think that they might be welcoming that opportunity as well, provided they can get back up. But it’s going to be either Sean Dyche or Scott Parker. It’ll be up to the owners to make that decision.
“I don’t think they need a change. I think they are where they probably expected to be. And I think Scott Parker’s done a really good job, but I don’t think he necessarily has to get fired.
“So it’ll be down to them whether they believe bringing Sean Dyche in can actually lead to a better Championship challenge. I’m not really that convinced, but I am hearing that name more and more in that connection.”

Burnley’s dismal run looks set to continue
Parker is one of the favourites to become the next sacked manager in the Premier League, following Burnley’s run of just one league win since October.
A 3-2 victory at Crystal Palace last time out in the league has therefore done little to boost their survival hopes.
Building on that win will be difficult with a trip to Chelsea next before seventh-placed Brentford travel to Turf Moor.
