Rangers striker Joe Dodoo is set ro undergo a medical at Blackpool on Monday, according to Football Insider sources, and hopefully it can lead to a long-term move for the former Leicester striker after failing to make the grade at Ibrox.
Dodoo joined the Gers two years ago under Mark Warburton but has failed to ever really set the world alight since his move north and news he is close to penning a season-long loan deal with Blackpool will please fans.
The 22-year-old spent time on loan at Charlton earlier in the season but struggled to make any sort of impact there and there doesn’t look to be any way back for him at Ibrox either.
A move to Blackpool – even if only temporary – will be the best move the the striker just now and will give him a chance to re-establish himself and win a long-term deal at Bloomfield Road and land a contract somewhere else.
Dodoo can still go on and rebuild his career somewhere else and at ony 22 still has a long career ahead of him.
With Steven Gerrard looking to add some real quality to his squad over the coming weeks ahead of his first season in charge of the Ibrox giants, Dodoo is only going to find himself pushed further out of the reckoning for a first-team spot.
