BBC pundit makes bold claim about £4.5m Celtic player, delivers verdict on display v Hibernian

BBC Sport Scotland pundit Tam McManus believes that Celtic summer signing Olivier Ntcham is getting better with each game – but has boldly claimed that Hibernian midfielder John McGinn is the slightly better player.
McGinn does not possess the CV that Ntcham does, having played in the Champions League, Serie A and spent time at Manchester City – but McManus believes that he is still better than the France Under-21 international.
McManus made the comments following the Hoops’ 1-0 victory over Hibernian, which featured a midfield battle between the players.
“Honours even in the McGinn v Ntcham battle today I hear,” he said on his personal Twitter account.
“Ntcham improving every week he is getting there but still a wee bit to go to get to McGinn type levels.”

Ntcham joined the Hoops from Manchester City for a fee of £4.5million in the summer.
The 21-year-old midfielder has played in most games this season but lost his place for the Old Firm derby in December.
Since coming on as a substitute in that match he has been an ever present in the side and has turned in some very good recent performances.
Ntcham’s opponent, McGinn, has been linked with the Hoops on occasion but as yet there has been no bid for the player from Celtic as the transfer window draws to a close.
The Bhoys may well need to replace the injured duo of Craig Gordon and Leigh Griffiths in the transfer window though, following the injuries suffered by the pair in the game against Hibernian.
Griffiths suffered a calf injury shorty after scoring the only goal of the game whilst Gordon was replaced by Dorus de Vries at half-time after suffering a knee injury.
