In-form Celtic ace could be man to miss out in huge semi-final clash
Despite scoring the winning goal against Hamilton on Sunday, there is no guarantee that in-form Celtic ace Leigh Griffiths is set to start the upcoming Scottish Cup semi-final clash v Rangers.
In fact, there is more reason to believe that he will start the game on the bench.
For one of the few big games that the Hoops have left this season, Brendan Rodgers will want to stick with the players who have brought him the most success in his time with the Hoops.
That should mean that Moussa Dembele retains his place as the Hoops’ main striker, with the 27-year-old Griffiths relegated to the bench.
Rodgers would no doubt point to Dembele’s performance in the recent 3-2 win at Ibrox as reason to give him the nod to start the semi-final, as he scored and set up the winning goal in a memorable Hoops win.

Griffiths has been very unlucky with injuries this season, particularly the calf in jury he picked in January just as he was running into some excellent form.
With his goalscoring prowess he will be a good player to have on the bench, and he has already proved his worth as against the Gers this season with a goal in a 2-0 win in September.
But it seems unlikely that Griffiths will be satisfied with being on the bench, although perhaps in time he will look back and admit that it was the right decision by the Hoops boss.
