Injured Everton player out of Liverpool clash sends message to teammates

By Harvey Byrne

Everton winger Yannick Bolasie has sent his support to his Toffees teammates on Twitter ahead of the clash with Liverpool at Anfield on Saturday.

The 27-year-old wide man is currently out injured and has not featured since a league clash against Manchester United in December.

The injury list seems to be ever-growing for Everton and Seamus Coleman, James McCarthy, Morgan Schneiderin and Ramiro Funes Mori are also in the treatment room.

But, ahead of the big Merseyside derby meeting, Bolasie shared on his personal Twitter account that he was looking forward to the encounter between two of England’s biggest rivals.

Bolasie joined Everton for a massive £25million fee in the summer from Premier League rivals Crystal Palace.

He had featured in 16 matches for the Toffees before his injury, returning one goal and four assists, but it is unlikely he will play again this season.

However, with Everton still with much to play for as they enter the final nine matches of the season in seventh place he will be eager for his side to place as high as possible.

The Toffees’ match against Liverpool sees them take on a side they lost 1-0 against in December and they will be eager to see a much different outcome this time around.

In other Everton news, Liverpool fans have blasted the decision to start this midfielder against the Toffees.
