Triple fitness blow for Tottenham ahead of CL clash v Juventus - report
Tottenham will have to overcome a stronger Juventus side if they are going to go through to the next round of the Champions League, according to a report.
The Sun has revealed that the trio of Paulo Dybala, Benedikt Howedes and Andrea Barzagli all returned to the side for the trip to Torino on Sunday as the Old Lady collected another three points in Serie A.
Dybala, Howedes, and Barzagli were all named on the bench, with the Argentian attacker making a 66th-minute appearance in the victory.
However, there was better news for Tottenham as Gonzalo Higuain had to leave the field of play in the 15th minute, only to be replaced by Federico Bernardeschi.
Spurs lead the Champions League tie between the two sides on the away goals rule having scored two in Turin.
Goals from Harry Kane and Christian Eriksen levelled the tie on Tuesday night despite having gone two goals down.
The Lillywhite’s are progressing well on all fronts and should eventually emerge unscathed from the FA Cup tie to against Rochdale, which has gone to a Wembley replay after a 2-2 draw on Sunday.
Only earlier this week it came to light that Real Madrid were keeping tabs on the contract situation involving Toby Alderweireld with a report suggesting the La Liga side are keen on the defender.
