Injury expert: Chelsea star Pulisic set for long layoff after missing return date
Chelsea aren’t taking any risks with Christian Pulisic’s fitness after an update from Thomas Tuchel.
That is according to injury expert Ben Dinnery, who runs the Premier Injuries site and has a background in medicine as well as data analysis.
Speaking in his pre-Man City press conference, Tuchel revealed Pulisic “is still out”.
Pulisic has only made two appearances for Chelsea this season.
The Blues face Man City on Saturday in what is already shaping up to be a big game at the top of the table.
Dinnery claims the initial timeframe for Pulisic’s return was wrong as he continues to be monitored by the Chelsea medical team.

“I wouldn’t expect him to play,” Dinnery told Football Insider correspondent Adam Williams.
“He still hasn’t been training with the team at the time of recording.
“If he is still working individually, that suggests there are one or two slight concerns about his fitness.
“That we’ll be monitored on a day by day basis ahead of the Man City games.
“I look at that Chelsea squad and see so much depth, all of those midfield players can come in and do that job.
“Will Tuchel risk Pulisic if he isn’t 100%? What we do know is he isn’t too far away.
“The timeline was 10 to 12 days once he picked up that knock so it looks like he will be out longer than that.
“That timeframe was wrong. I don’t think there will be any risks taken by Chelsea.”
