Injury expert: Don't expect Bailey to start for Aston Villa against Wolves after 'severe' problem diagnosed
Aston Villa will be able to welcome Leon Bailey back to their matchday squad for Saturday’s game against Wolves.
That is according to medical expert Ben Dinnery, who runs the Premier Injuries site and has a background in medicine and data analysis.
Bailey, 24, has not started a match for Villa since signing from Bayer Leverkusen for £25million in the summer window.
In his last outing, against Everton, Bailey came off the bench to score and bag an assist but also went off injured.
Dean Smith is quoted by Birmingham Mail as saying Bailey will return after the international break.
Dinnery claims the attacker will be available to Smith but urged caution and predicts he won’t be in from the start.

“The break was great timing,” Dinnery told Football Insider correspondent Ben Wild.
“Bailey announced his arrival against Everton, it was an amazing 20-minute cameo.
“The initial reports were that his quad problem was fairly severe but it has transpired it’s less serious.
“He has a good chance of returning to that matchday squad at the weekend.
“I wouldn’t expect him to start. This is a player who has been dealing with muscular problems all summer.
“That’s hampered and disrupted his progress. We are also talking about a player coming into a new team, a new environment.
“He’s one who needs to be managed. The weight of expectation after his performance against Everton, there will be an appetite for him to start.
“He’s a class act and I have no doubt he will be managed correctly.”
