‘Insane!’ – Man United fans can’t believe what Benjamin Sesko did against Switzerland
Man United fans were left stunned by Benjamin Sesko showcasing his ability away from the club in Slovenia’s World Cup qualifying clash against Denmark.
Benjamin Sesko bagged 13 goals in 33 Bundesliga appearances for RB Leipzig last season, and was the subject of serious transfer interest from a number of Premier League sides over the summer prior to his move to Man United.
After initially being linked to Arsenal before they went for Viktor Gyokeres, former Old Trafford scout Mick Brown revealed to Football Insider on Tuesday (5 August) that Man United were confident of beating Newcastle to signing Sesko.
Sesko joined Man United from Leipzig at the start of August for a reported £66.4million, but he has struggled to adapt to English football so far with no goal contributions in his first four competitive appearances for the club.
The international break will have provided him some relief from the pressure to perform for the Red Devils in the Premier League, and a particular piece of skill that he produced has left United supporters shocked.

Man United fans amazed at Benjamin Sesko’s impressive mid-air ball control
Sesko will have wanted to avoid the feeling of losing once more while away with his country, whom he has scored 16 goals in 41 appearances for up to now, but Slovenia were 3-0 down to Switzerland at half-time in their World Cup qualifier on Monday (8 September).
The 22-year-old struggled to make his mark in front of goal, but he did produce one moment of real quality as he superbly plucked the ball out of the air with his foot after a huge jump in the 43rd minute before laying it off for his strike partner, who blazed his shot over the crossbar.
Sesko’s fleeting flash of brilliance had United fans excited, with one fan taking to X to say: “Sesko’s athleticism is insane,” while another stated: “The touch I just saw from Sesko was outrageously disgusting.”
Others were also shocked at his control and flexibility, with one supporter taking to X to say: “What a control by Benjamin Sesko, Kungfu control.”
Another supporter added: “Sesko is so flexible. How is bro able to leap and stretch his legs that far up?”
Another United fan wanted to see what he could do in front of goal after the moment, saying: “Just want them to create one chance for Sesko… loved that control from him in mid-air,” while another took to X to say: “That control by Sesko,” with a fire emoji.
Man United fans need to see more of Benjamin Sesko’s quality going forward
Sesko is obviously a good striker, as shown by his goalscoring exploits in Germany and at international level, but things have not gone his way for a number of reasons so far in Manchester.
Ruben Amorim has failed to fully trust him, for one, with his only start so far coming away at Grimsby Town as United were humiliated by League Two opponents, meaning he is yet to get up to speed with the rigours of Premier League football.

The formation that the Portuguese boss plays is also not set up to get the best out of the 22-year-old, with no wingers to deliver crosses into his six foot, five inch frame, and the likes of Diogo Dalot, Patrick Dorgu and Amad all struggling to impress going forward at wing-back.
United need to see more quality like this touch from Sesko in the immediate future, or the pressure will continue to grow the longer he goes without his first goal for the club.
Amorim should aid his struggling striker’s woes by actually putting his faith in him from the off, though, starting with United’s massive derby clash away at Man City this weekend.
