Journalist delivers positive update on recovery of long-term Tottenham absentee

Tottenham midfielder Victor Wanyama is yet to return to training with the rest of the squad but is progressing well on his recovery from injury, according to a reliable journalist.
Alasdair Gold, who is the Tottenham reporter for football news website football.london, has claimed in a live question and answer blog (09/11, 17:36) that the Kenyan midfielder is trying to regain both strength and confidence after suffering a serious knee injury at the beginning of the season.
Having appeared in the opening two matches against Newcastle United and Chelsea, he has been ruled out of action since, missing 15 games, as well as handing Mauricio Pochettino a selection dilemma in the centre of the park, with Mousa Dembele also missing a series of fixtures.
The enforcer, who has 44 international appearances for Kenya under his belt, is said to have taken to training outside again but is still undertaking exercises away from the rest of the first team squad, in a positive update.
The report states that he is working closely with the medical and sports science staff at Spurs and that the injury is not set to keep him out too long term, as Gold states any reports of him sitting out the rest of the campaign are false.
