Insider issues 'massive' Tottenham claim as 'top-class' Conte makes instant mark
Antonio Conte will thrive at Tottenham as the club has the infrastructure suitable for a top manager.
That is according to Spurs insider John Wenham, who regularly breaks news about the club on his Lilywhite Rose social media channels.
Conte, 52, was appointed as Nuno Espirito Santo’s replacement on Tuesday as Tottenham acted swiftly to secure a new manager.
In the summer, this site revealed Nuno interviewed with both Crystal Palace and Everton before taking the Tottenham job.
Meanwhile, Conte was jobless after leaving Inter Milan following their Serie A win.
Wenham insists Tottenham’s facilities will give Conte a much better chance of succeeding as Nuno wasn’t capable of managing such a “massive club”.

“Our fans pay some of the highest season ticket prices in Europe,” Wenham told Football Insider correspondent Ben Wild.
“We deserve better than a guy who was turfed out of interviews with Everton and Crystal Palace.
“We were in the Champions League final two years ago. The club has 60,000 people on a season ticket waiting list.
“People think Tottenham aren’t a big club because we haven’t won a trophy for a long time.
“We are the sixth most successful English side ever. Spurs have won eight FA Cups, three European trophies, two league titles and four League Cups.
“We have won major silverware and are a massive club. We had a sold-out away end in Madrid for the Champions League final and 60,000 more at home to watch it in the stadium.
“Appointing Nuno was never suitable for this club and he couldn’t handle it.
“Conte is much more fitting, he is a top-class coach now at a top club.
“With this kind of infrastructure around him, I expect him to thrive.”
