Insider names five Tottenham players set to be 'reinvented' by Conte
Antonio Conte will mould his wealth of Tottenham wingers in his own image over the coming months.
That is according to Spurs insider John Wenham, who regularly breaks news about the club on his Lilywhite Rose social media channels.
Tottenham have five senior players who have played on the wing in the Premier League this season.
For this reason, Wenham isn’t expecting the club to sign any more wide players in the January window.
Instead, Wenham insists Conte will re-mould his attackers into either number 10s or second striker as he uses his wing-backs to exploit the wide areas.
“Under the new system we are going to play, wingers will have to be reinvented,” Wenham told Football Insider correspondent Ben Wild.

“Whether that be as number 10s or as second strikers or even wing-backs.
“I don’t see us looking at any wingers in January. That’s the position in which we are easily the most stacked.
“You have Lucas Moura, Steven Bergwijn, Ryan Sessegnon, Bryan Gil, Heung-Min Son and now we have a manager who doesn’t really use wingers.
“We saw what happened with Moses at Chelsea, he always seems to be the prime example of Conte’s work.
“So I do wonder what will happen. I’m not sure we will sell anybody but I suspect Conte will want to mould those players in his shape.”
Son and Moura have started as narrower forwards in both of Conte’s games as Spurs boss.
Both men scored in the Italian’s first game in charge against Vitesse.
