Insider: Nuno has revealed his '£70m' plan for Vitesse after 'strange' Tottenham decision

Nuno Espirito Santo dropped a major hint over his plans for Vitesse Arnhem after failing to make a substitution during Tottenham v Newcastle.

That is according to Spurs insider John Wenham, who regularly breaks news about the club on his Lilywhite Rose social media channels.

Tottenham beat Newcastle as the same 11 who started the game also finished the game.

This comes just days before Spurs face Vitesse in the UEFA Conference League.

Tottenham could take a big step towards qualifying for the knockout rounds with a win after already drawing with Rennes and beating NS Mura.

Wenham claims the lack of subs indicates Nuno may change things up but he insists this is the wrong approach.

“I think that was certainly an indication,” Wenham told Football Insider correspondent Ben Wild.

“It was strange, you don’t often see that.

“We had nine subs and didn’t make any. Rodon, Doherty, Sessegnon and Clark didn’t even make the bench.

“That’s £70million worth of players. I think it’s an indication of who will make that squad on Thursday.

“We need to put a strong team out. As I’ve said before, our away record in Europe is abysmal.

“We will have to go relatively strong because Vitesse are no pushovers.

“I hope we will name a similar side to the one that beat Newcastle but possibly with a few fresher, younger faces.”

Tottenham breezed past Mura in their last European outing after Harry Kane scored a hattrick from the bench.

That followed an eventful 2-2 draw with Rennes.
