Insider: Rangers star axed v Aberdeen after reported offer from overseas
Danny Wilson won’t start in Rangers’ Premiership fixture against Aberdeen tonight, amid interest from MLS sides, according to a reliable source.
EstConsultancy, a reliable source of Rangers information, had claimed earlier that there was truth in the reports that Danny Wilson might leave Ibrox for a move over to the MLS.
The Daily Record had reported that the 26-year-old had been the subject of a couple of lucrative offers to play in the States, with Sporting Kansas City ahead of the Colorado Rapids.
In a post tweeted on Wednesday morning, EstConsultancy said that there was “truth in the Wilson out reports. Club hopeful of a new deal still.”

Football Insider verdict:
This is a worrying development for Rangers fans who see Wilson as a key part of their side. The 26-year-old has played the last 12 games straight for the club and has been the stand-in skipper, but now it looks like there could be real substance in his reported move to the States. Being axed from the Rangers side suggests that he is unsettled and if there was no truth in the reports or he’d said he wanted to stay, we’d imagine he’d be in Murty’s starting XI. This is one to watch.
