Insider tells Tottenham to agree marquee deal in ‘next 10 days’ after source’s Lloris reveal
Tottenham need to “get a move on” in their attempt to hand Hugo Lloris a new contract.
That is according to Spurs insider John Wenham, who regularly breaks news about the club on his Lilywhite Rose social media channels.
This site revealed on 11 December that Lloris has opened talks with Tottenham over a new long-term deal as he looks to extend his nine-year spell at the club.

A Spurs source has told Football Insider that the Frenchman wants to commit to another contract that would take him into his late 30s.
The World Cup winner’s current deal is set to expire at the end of this season.
Wenham is concerned over Lloris’ future ahead of the opening of the January transfer window.
“Giving Lloris a new deal would solidify what is becoming a very good defence,” Wenham told Football Insider correspondent Ben Wild.
“Obviously he can enter negotiations with foreign clubs over a pre-contract move from 1 January.
“That’s 10 or 11 days away, Tottenham really need to get a move on to sort this one out.
“Lloris was brilliant as always against Liverpool and he is only getting better.
“He’s still one of the top five goalkeepers in the Premier League.
“It would unthinkable for Tottenham to not give him a new deal especially considering the names we have been linked with.
“For me, he’s better than Sam Johnstone or Jordan Pickford, those are just two who have been linked recently.”

Lloris hasn’t missed a minute of Premier League action this season.
He has made 16 appearances in all competitions.
In other news, an Insider has told Football Insider how Tottenham are working on a deal to sign “unbelievable” player in January.
