Insider: Tottenham have ‘huge faith’ in Willhoft-King after offer submitted
Tottenham “have huge faith” that young midfielder Han Willhoft-King has a big future at the club.
That is according to Spurs insider John Wenham, who regularly breaks news about the club on his Lilywhite Rose social media channels.
Willhoft-King started as Tottenham cruised to a 5-1 win over Ipswich in the FA Youth Cup on 16 December.
Wenham can’t wait to see more of the midfielder in person after his impressive displays this season.
“He’s a defensive midfielder who has already played a fair bit with the Under 18s,” Wenham told Football Insider correspondent Ben Wild.
“He seems to grab a few goals for a midfielder as well. I remember he grabbed a couple against Arsenal in the Premier League Under 17s Cup.
“I haven’t actually seen that much of him in person yet but I am very much looking forward to casting an eye on him.
“The fact he’s already playing in a higher age group shows Tottenham have huge faith in this guy.
“We know he’s one who has been offered terms so I certainly think he is one to look at.
“The club clearly rate him and that can only be a good thing considering our track record with young players.”

On 17 November, this site revealed Tottenham have offered a two-year scholarship contract to Willhoft-King.
This came after he put Arsenal to the sword with two goals in Spurs Under-17s’ 9-0 thrashing of their rivals on 29 September.
In other news, an Insider has told Football Insider how Tottenham are working on a deal to sign “unbelievable” player in January.
