Insider: Tottenham to make 10 changes for clash v Newport

By Richard Parks
Mauricio Pochettino is set to ring the changes for Tottenham’s FA Cup clash against Newport County on Wednesday night, according to a club insider.
The Lilywhite Rose Twitter account, which broke a number of Spurs transfer stories during the recent window, reported on Wednesday morning that the White Hart Lane boss is likely to make 10 alterations to the starting line-up that drew 2-2 at Liverpool last Sunday.
It is said that Son Heung-Min will be the only Tottenham player to retain his starting place as Pochettino appears to have one eye on the Saturday lunchtime north London derby.
It means starts for fringe players and key squad men as well as a recall for Toby Alderweireld, who has not played since suffering a hamstring injury against Real Madrid at the start of November.

Should the reliable Lilywhite Rose be correct, that would mean no place in the starting XI at Wembley on Wednesday for the likes of Harry Kane, Dele Alli, Christian Eriksen, Mousa Dembele and Hugo Lloris.
Spurs host Arsenal, also at Wembley, in a 12.30pm Saturday kick-off.
League Two outfit Newport held Spurs to a 1-1 draw in the first leg at Rodney Parade as only a late Harry Kane prevented a famous FA Cup upset.
