Bristol City forward Milan Djuric is due to jet into England this weekend after seeing a specialist in Italy about his groin injury.
The Robins confirmed on their official website that Djuric, 27, is due back in the UK ahead of the clash against Leeds United at Elland Road on Sunday.
However it is not clear whether or not the Bosnia and Herzegovina international will be fit enough to play against the Whites after spending over two months on the sidelines.
Djuric has made nine appearances in all competitions this season, scoring two goals, but has not featured much due to two different injury issues.
His last outing came against Sheffield United on December 8 when he came off the bench at half-time.
Bristol City assistant head coach Jamie McAllister confirmed that the former Cesena striker will be back in England this weekend and that full-back Eros Pisano is making progress in his recovery from injury.
“Milan will be back from Italy on Saturday and Eros has been training with the group, slowly building himself up,” he said, as quoted on the Robins’ official website.
“He looked good in training but we need to be careful we don’t bring him back too soon. He looks fit, strong and we will see how he gets on.”
City are currently sixth in the Championship standings but have won just one of their last 10 fixtures in all competitions.
Leeds are also in a terrible run of form having not won since brushing aside Burton Albion on Boxing Day.
