Young starlet Jack Aitchison has told that he goes to the experienced Kolo Toure for advice in the Celtic team.
The 17-year-old attacker is highly thought of in the Hoops’ youth ranks and has already played three times for the senior team, scoring one goal.
He is currently away with the Scotland Under-17 team for their Under-17 European Championships and it is clear that he still has room to grow.
Now, the Hoops could have another emerging star on their hands and when asked who he goes to for advice, Aitchison replied with Toure’s name and told how he passes on what he used to talk to football greats Thierry Henry and Robert Pires about.
“I talk to Kolo Touré a lot. He doesn’t play much, but he’s a big character in the squad. He’s played with Thierry Henry and Robert Pirès so he tells me what he used to talk to them about. I try to soak it all in and perform on the training pitch,” told Aitchison, as quoted by the UEFA website.
Toure, 36, completed a free transfer move to Celtic in the summer, rejoining manager Brendan Rodgers after the pair had previously worked at Liverpool together.
He has had little time out on the pitch with just 15 appearances to his name in total since joining.
However, his experience off the pitch may be worth it’s weight in gold for youngsters such as Aitchison who will be hoping to have similar careers to that of the two-time Premier League winner.
In other Celtic news, the Hoops are set to miss out on this seven-figure cash windfall after manager comments.
