Jack Grealish sends message to Man City teammates after Newcastle demolition
Man City ace Jack Grealish took to social media to send a message to his teammates after their 4-0 Premier League win over Newcastle.
The 29-year-old was forced to watch on from the sidelines after being ruled out with the groin injury he picked up in the 3-2 Champions League defeat to Real Madrid in midweek.
January signing Omar Marmoush opened the scoring after just 19 minutes, his first since joining, with a cheeky lob over Martin Dubravka in the Newcastle goal.
Marmoush bagged his second just five minutes later before rounding off his hattrick in the 33rd minute thanks to an assist from winger Savinho.
BBC pundit Chris Sutton was incredibly impressed with Savinho’s Man City performance, suggesting he left one Newcastle defender “absolutely petrified”.
Newcastle fans were left furious with Kieran Trippier for his performance against Man City, suggesting he should be sold after being hooked off at half-time.
Jack Grealish watches on as Man City demolish top-four rivals Newcastle
Grealish has struggled to make any real impact this season, starting 13 of his 24 games across all competitions, scoring two goals, and providing five assists in his 1228 minutes of action.
Football Insider revealed (January 16) that Pep Guardiola and Man City were planning to accept a Grealish bid in January but a move never materialised.
The winger took to Instagram to send a message to his teammates after their impressive win over Newcastle, saying: “Well done boys. Brilliant.”

Grealish is hoping to make his Man City return from injury for their second leg against Real Madrid at the Santiago Bernabeu on Wednesday (February 19).
Pep Guardiola’s side will then host Premier League leaders Liverpool in the game after Real Madrid, hoping to further cement their place in the top four.
