Jack Grealish shares Man City training ground update after he’s axed

Man City winger Jack Grealish has taken to social media to share a training ground update ahead of their FA Cup clash with Salford on Saturday (January 11).

The 29-year-old could be in line to make his first start since Man City’s 2-1 defeat to former club Aston Villa on December 21st against the League Two side.

Pep Guardiola’s side have seemingly turned a corner after a dismal run at the backend of 2024, winning their last two Premier League games and scoring six goals in the process.

City now sit in sixth, just two points off Chelsea in fourth having gone on a run that saw them win just one game from 13 across all competitions.

Grealish has now gone over a year without scoring, with his last club goal coming in Man City’s 2-2 draw against Crystal Palace on December 16th, 2023.

Jack Grealish continues to struggle as Man City hope to start FA Cup campaign with a win

The £100million man continues to find himself on the periphery under Guardiola, starting 10 of his 19 games across all competitions, scoring zero goals, and providing just two assists in his 946 minutes of action.

Still, he appears determined to make an impact at the current Premier League champions, taking to Instagram to share a training ground update alongside his teammates.

City have six games remaining in January alone, including a pivotal Champions League tie with French champions PSG, knowing a defeat would seriously hamper their chances of progression to the knockout stages.

Guardiola will turn his attention back to the Premier League after the game with Salford as they prepare for a trip to in-form Brentford.
