Jack Wilshere posts Twitter verdict following Bournemouth win against Liverpool

Jack Wilshere celebrated Bournemouth’s dramatic 4-3 victory against Liverpool on Sunday lunchtime by posting an image on Twitter following the win.

The on-loan Arsenal midfielder returned to the starting XI after being forced to sit out the clash against his parent club last Saturday.

Bournemouth produced one of the best displays the club has ever seen when they came back from 3-1 down to secure a victory over Jurgen Klopp’s side for the first time in their history.

Wilshere took to his personal Twitter account to hail the “unbelievable character” of the Bournemouth squad as well as the impact of the substitutes in the second half.

Divock Origi and Sadio Mane had given the visitors an early lead at the Vitality Stadium but the Cherries mounted an incredible comeback in the second-half before Nathan Ake netted a late stoppage time winner.

Ryan Fraser came on as a substitute in the 55th minute and turned the game around for Bournemouth and Wilshere praised the importance of Eddie Howe’s changes as Fraser, Benik Afobe and Jordon Ibe all made a huge impact in the second-half.

Wilshere was out-of-favour at Arsenal following a series of injury set-backs in recent seasons but has now played five full 90 minute games for Bournemouth since joining them on loan in the summer.

The 24-year-old has been a great addition to the Cherries’ midfield and has helped Bournemouth climb to 10th place in the Premier League table.

Liverpool had only suffered one defeat so far this season in the league and that was against Burnley way back in August so Bournemouth’s victory came as a huge shock.

In other Arsenal news, this is the expected starting XI to face Basel in Tuesday night’s Champions League fixture.
